The city of Kyle is located in zip code 78640, just over 20 miles south of downtown Austin and just north of San Marcos. This area is growing rapidly due to the real estate market in central Texas and many home buyers are looking for the best value for their money. Kyle is a great place to find better cost per sqft than the neighborhoods in Austin, San Marcos or San Antonio. Houses typically feature 3-4 bedrooms and are perfect for growing families or buyers looking for a home that will appreciate in value. Architectural styles will be more traditional with common designs being traditional and ranch house. Houses often feature big porches, pools, big garages and large lots. Kyle residents have easy access to community parks, trails and shopping centers, but with I35 running through the city, it is easy to jump on the highway and commute to Austin or cruise on down to San Antonio for dinner and a show. That doesn’t mean you need to go that far for fun though. San Marcos is right next door and New Braunfels is right down the road as well so during the hot summer months there are plenty of rivers to float down, country music venues to visit and new attractions are added all of the time to the I35 corridor. The expansion of the corridor is what makes Kyle one of the most exciting places to live in Austin since it is poised to take full advantage of the major cities’ growth without paying higher taxes or house costs.
The students of Kyle will attend Hays Consolidated ISD, there are multiple elementary, middle and high school options with interesting educational programs. Most prefer to send their children to private schools in the area, like Santa Cruz Catholic School.
